    how to stop forum spam

When you ban a spammer, grab the IP address and put it in the ban list as well.

Also, there are websites out there with their own lists of IP addresses which can be used to stop forum spammers.

    spam-ip.com/how-to-block-forum-spam.php

Block *.info and *.biz in e-mail addresses.

An API that can be installed (Style can take care of this) which blocks spammers.
