Goblin Slayer
I have seen... soooo many people bitch about this one, just because it had an implied rape scene in the first episode. The first episode did a great job of showing just how brutally underestimated goblins are in that universe, and why they shouldn't be.
Also I'm kind of a sucker for a darker anime every now and then, and we really don't get enough dark anime set in fantasy worlds.◕ ‿‿ ◕

I've read the manga, I knew what to expect. It's been toned down. I have no problems with this manga/anime, but what gets me is just how much darker Overlord is and really I don't feel Goblin Slayer has even brushed through that yet.
That said, I love Goblin Slayer. He thinks, he acts, and he's dark. I want to see more of the story, and ya know what? It's not like I have anything else to do between Berserk chapters.

Yeah. More dark, gritty anime/manga would be nice honestly.
Particularly with ruthless characters.◕ ‿‿ ◕

Currently the series is up to episode 7, and holy shit it was good.
Also had a beautiful yet somewhat haunting song.

I've stopped at about episode 3 or 4, let a few episodes stack before I start watching.
Usually I'd keep up, but as I've gotten older I've started enjoying this binge mentality.

That's kinda what I'm doing with the new JoJo, honestly.
I didn't do it with season 5, and honestly I regretted it.
Waiting week after week is just.........
Painful.◕ ‿‿ ◕

Speaking of which. Golbin Slayer Nendoroid announced, Getting it. I've always wanted one for my desk, this one seems perfect. The Ainz Ooal Gown one was sadly--well, it didn't seem as articulate.

It's pretty gory, though I've heard the manga is more so. This is expected.
The only really 'rapey' part is in the first episode to show that goblins are not to be underestimated, as the populous seems to do far too often.
It's probably one of the more brutal shows out there when it gets to the action, even if it toned down just a little after the first ep.◕ ‿‿ ◕

Alrighty. Now that this is over, I have to say: I really enjoyed it.
So a few notes. The combat wasn't fanastic, but then, I didn't expect it to be.
Goblin Slayer's main strength is in scene setting, world building, and twisting up common perceptions about generic fantasy enemies.
Also a degree of character development.
It's a shame that the final battle didn't last long, but then, I wouldn't expect it to, nor should it have.
The Adventurer's Guild reactions to him taking off his helmet were amazing, and I couldn't stop laughing.
Also the song inserts by Mili were all wonderful additions to an already entertaining anime.
... Also Goblin Slayer will apparently return <3◕ ‿‿ ◕
